First draft of "Project Trailers"This is a featured page

The main goal of this first draft is simply to demonstrate that you can do some very basic video editing. Most of you come in to this class with no video editing experience. The best way to learn it is to do it, hence this assignment.

In the end, your trailer must be 30 to 90 seconds long and be a thoughtful and engaging introduction to your research.

The first draft must include 3 elements:

1. material downloaded from YouTube (to demonstrate that you have learned how to download and edit online video)
2. background music that is not copyrighted (or that you have permission to use) (Check Jamendo or search for Creative Commons music online)
3. at least one cut or transition (to demonstrate that you have learned to make a cut and transition)

When the video is done, upload it to YouTube and embed it in your blog.

I found www.mobygratis.com to be great for music. It's free music from the electronic artist, Moby. After registering, you can get his instrumentals and b-sides.

His youtube account has a whole playlist of movies and films that have used his music at: http://www.youtube.com/mobygratis
Do you find this valuable?
