Anonymous as myth. (posted by AnthroAcoustic (Dig Eth Class of '06))
Anonymous users create a new pantheon of spiritual beings and archetypes whose mythology brings forth questions of morality, identity, heroism, creation, and destruction. These questions are reexamined within the cultural structures of the internet and this examination, through the ritualistic/mythical acts of trolls, reveal the social norms and structures that are required for success on the internet: knowledge of the underlying structure, protection of self and identity, and the ability to act under millions of critical eyes.
The trolls unknowingly play the part of the villian so that heroes will emerge.
