The posted questions bring my thoughts to forest people, hiding quietly as alien safari-tourists pass through, unknowing that they are being watched. Or another image of indian warrior scouts crouching low to avoid being spotted as a wagon train passes by in the distance.
Anonymous allows a choice to remain un-connected and not contactable. Anonymous allows not having to make a promise or live up to a commitment. Anonymous provides a cloak of protection for one with observations, hypothesese, or judgements becaues they do not have to be asked about thse nor do they have to defend their position. So anonymous fits with in the concept of being uninvolved.
Being uninvolved can be a tragedy. A truck driver might get pulled from his rig and beaten by a gang if the nearby residents are uninvolved. Pursesnatchers, muggers, theives of all sorts and other maliciously minded persons can perform their anti-social acts with impunity if those nearby are anonymous.
Anonymous can protect an individual but it can also mean no protection for others who need contact.
